Our Family

Alex and I have always felt called to adoption, we talked about it when we were dating but both decided to wait and see if we could naturally conceive first. We had our sweet and kind first son, Aiden and the dream to adopt was still so strong but we wanted to wait and see what our second child would be like. We then had our spunky and adventurous second child, Declan, and knew we still wanted to adopt. We are truly blessed that we do not have issues conceiving kids of our own, and that our first two kids are healthy, we have always felt called to adoption to complete our family and are at the season of life that is making us more ready to peruse that dream. That's who Cookies for Charley began, as a dream to help us earn money towards the costs of adoption!

Where it all began

I took a Royal Icing cookie decorating class with the amazing Sarah Waterfield and fell in love with it! She is an excellent teacher, baker, decorator and now friend. I have since been decorating cookies for friends, family, and for my sons school friends and teachers for about a year now and I absolutely love it!!! I had no idea when I took that class I would ever get this much joy out of it, yet here we are. I have never charged for my cookies in the past and always just did it for fun. But I've always heard people say, "do something you love and find a way to make money at it" and we are looking for ways to help support our dream and complete our family. All of the money we make will go towards our private infant adoption for baby Charley.
